Happy commemoration of International Women’s Day 2019.

Celebrating Self-Inclusion into Leadership

I want to talk about my passion for self-inclusion for women, especially women over 40. Sometimes we give up, we look after the whole world and leave ourselves behind.

You may have realised that I am incredibly passionate about Leadership and Self-Inclusion for women. I am always intrigued at how much potential we have and yet how little we use our potential to push ourselves forward. After all, a woman who is a boss is more likely to support the family and the community better.

I like pushing myself, and I think this is a perfect day for me to announce that as of 1 April 2019, I will be returning to education. Yes, you heard me right. I am becoming a student at De Montfort University Leicester, where I will be undertaking my PhD for the next three years. Without boring you too much, let me share with you what my business doesn’t and why I am so passionate about...

leadership transformation Oct 12, 2017

Today I just thought of sharing with you this mindblowing inspirational interview I had with this thought leader who is also my good friend and property mentor Rod Khleif.

He is a real estate investor and host of TOP Youtube and iTunes podcast ‘The Lifetime Cash Flow through Real Estate’(link is below this post)

A compelling rags-to-riches-to-rags-to-riches story, Khleif soared from humble beginnings as a young, impoverished Dutch immigrant to incredible success. Rod’s experience involves both remarkable triumphs and spectacular failures, which he affectionately calls “seminars.” Rod brings incredible authenticity and insight to his approach to business, success, and life.

I was honoured to interview Rod earlier this year when I was just starting out with my podcast. (Apologies for my no intro), but as Zig Zigler said "You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great" so I started.

You will love this interview because Rod...

Are you The Happily Imperfect Leader?

Are you always being told you're not good enough? Are you being told that your goals are too big, you can't achieve them? Or maybe people just dismiss you whenever you tell them you want to do something with your life?

I recorded the response on my podcast channel on Youtube and Itunes

Here is the rest of the transcript:

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you're in the right place.  The Happily Imperfect Leader is any person who is willing to push through their fears, defy their stereotypes and imperfections so that they achieve that great goal that they set for themselves.

Too many people are just sitting there in the name of waiting for the right time or the perfect moment to achieve something. That fear that they have of being Judged for their imperfections is so great; it stops them, it just stops them from moving forward or working alone.

I make a lot of mistakes; my vocabulary is not great, I can't even pronounce certain words......

How to Deal with Stressful Situations at Work: Demonstrating your Leadership.

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where the stress at work stresses you out so much that you take the stress home messing up the rest of your evening?

Watch my FBlive here

I recently had an interesting conversation with someone who was in and pressured situation at work; it was about managing workplace stress. Especially this time of year when there are deadlines to meet. Your boss is stressed, and that stress is trickling down to your level as a senior manager, your team is beginning to feel the stress, the environment is changing, and morale is going down.

How to do you stop that and turn things around? Here is what I learned and what I have done in such situations:

If no one is going to die, or the building is not going to collapse, don't sweat it. The best you can do is tell the person that is stressing you out that the work will be done, with the crucial tasks completed within the deadline. Say it with a smile on your face, if they are ranting at you, try to keep as...

Executives or Business Leaders: Are you Struggling, Working too Hard and not Excited about Life Right Now?

Read on!

FINANCIAL STABILITY is at the core of life. You need to work and earn to maintain FINANCIAL STABILITY.

You need to be in the right MENTAL HEALTH and WELLBEING state to work, think, and act well and make CRITICAL DECISIONS responsibly.

When your MENTAL HEALTH suffers, you may lose your earning capabilities, and consequently, your FINANCIAL STABILITY can be affected.

When your FINANCIAL STABILITY, business or personal, is IMPACTED, your HEALTH and WELLBEING will suffer, and you risk problems such as Depression, Anxiety or worse.

EXECUTIVES and BUSINESS LEADERS, with heavy responsibilities, are even in danger of Mental Health Issues too. The problem is that we don't talk about it until its too. The stigma and fear of loss of position and earnings make it even harder. Without help, it can though lead to the same losses we are so worried about and a longer recovery route.

DON’T IGNORE your low moods and excessive stress. Talk to someone about how you are feeling, help is...

How to Deal with the Pressured Work Place

The number of NHS organisations being rated as inadequate by the Care Quality Commission is on the rise. Is the problem with the leadership or the tight budgets that organisation have to operate with.

In my personal opinion, sometimes it is easier to put the blame on the leadership without really tackling the source of the problem early enough. The struggles with budgets are real; performance and morale are constantly affected. Disgruntled staff will leave and the cost of recruitment and retraining is also very high in most cases and ultimately performance is affected.

The leaders do have a role to play though; one of the issues faced by the Executive having a reactive approach to financial performance and not having a clear financial and sustainability strategy.

I have seen a number of aspirational targets set by the executives at times due to external pressures, when it comes to achievement, they fall short. Some programmes end up being shelved prematurely.

So how can the Leaders...
